Greetings,
Well i better do a last blog before i head off back to Bathurst and resume studies, oh of course my blogs. Just small reports of my last week. Recently this week has been the same last week, with small events in between. Lately I've been like a caregiver for my mum. This is because she had an operation on your shoulder and became a small time handicap. So i was put on the responsibility for her. It has been an experience being able to devote time and effort for another person, especially in need. Cooking, cleaning, and general things an average person will live.
I tried to complain to much, because shes my mum. It may be annoying at times but i do it willing and not expecting anything in return. She may be the one saying "thank you" countless times, but i would be the most grateful one in terms of this duty i had. Why? think about it, what if i was in a sling and struggling to lift a spoon. I'm sure my mum would of done the same. But i what i really have to be grateful for is this experience. Experience is a important part of our lives, and now that i am aware and capable of taking care of another. I am able to continue this journey to have the heart that serves. Just hopefully i can continually think and practice these experience. Especially as i further continue to strive to be a Paramedic.
Hers a verse that could be a reminder for you and myself:
2 Corinthians 9:7
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Now I've said that, John Mayer's - My Stupid Mouth. John's words are truly poetic and opens a deeper message to his songs. In that song he sings "Oh, another social casualty". Are you a person that "thinks before you speak" or do you say whatever comes to mind? This may be general but it is also important to think about what you are saying to another. Will it hurt them or will it help and benefit them? This could come down to having a conversation with a loved one. Something slips out and they understand it incorrectly, things get out hand!
Don't let this discourage you, because people are different and usually straight-forward. You know sometimes the inappropriateness conversation can be beneficial. Why? i think maybe you don't think about what the other person is saying to you. People can be thick-headed and can't take criticism too lightly. Really at times, you just have to cough it up and accept it.
But don't get me wrong, they could be plainly cruel. I guess to take away that factor is to make sure you totally trust person. Really don't let someone tell you or label you with stuff that may get you through an exam once. Trust is the key or someone that knows you back and front. Your family nudge, nudge. Well to sum what i am saying, yes do speak up, think before you speak and be sure to receive negative and positive feedback by trusted members.
Well thats it for now, ill be off to Bathurst on Sunday and probably write something up next mid-week.
Until then
Keep blogging or get into blogging
in Him, we live
Relgin.
