Greetings,
Back to my old habits of inconsistency. Well nothing much has really happened over the last month except for some relaxing days, although there was some fun days. I'm returning back to Bathurst this Friday and I'm looking forward to it but I'm gonna Sydney so much...
Last Tuesday, I was really surprised, tricked and fooled. Maybe because of the brilliant planning or maybe because of my severe case of gullibleness. My brother and friends organized a two movie for ten dollar drive-in-cinema that Tuesday night for a little farewell for this year. Boy It was a big surprise for me...
Tuesday night was my usual Muay Thai night with some friends. My mind set was on burning calories that night. I passed word to my friends about taking the 7pm session. It was about 6:45pm when I rang up my friend that was suppose to pick me up, asking where he was. He said to me, I thought we were going to take the 8pm session. So being me I was a little frustrated at first but I got over it quickly and we agreed on taking the 8pm session. So my friend's that suppose to pick me up for Muay Thai, arrived at my house 7:30pm. When I let them in they weren't in their Muay Thai gear or ready for any physical activity. I insisted if they wanted to change at my house but they said they would change when we get to the gym.
We talked for a while, and me being all ready for Muay Thai, in my Muay Thai shorts, ankle brace, sweat shirt and bag (including boxing gloves, mouth guard, etc etc). We left my home at 7:45pm, they told me before they entered my house we had to make a quick pit-stop at my friends house to change his shorts and my other friend had to drop off a graphic's card at a friend's place in prospect (Practically where the Drive-in-cinema was). What I found really suss at the first pit-stop was my friend went in and went out of his house in the same shorts. I was expecting him in different shorts for Muay Thai?
There was a lot of talk, and apologies that we were going to be a little late for the Muay Thai training. Still to this point I was clueless about the surprise. There stories were very convincing and I did believe and forgive them. Well as we approached the second pit-stop for the "friend that needs the graphic's card back" stories did change a bit because I thought we were going to meet at my friend's, friend's house but we were actually going to meet at the drive-in-cinemas. And supposedly "he worked" so they tell me...
I was really puzzled and thought ok, this seems alright. But what made it really suss and frustrating we had to enter and pay for it, just to meet "this person". So as we drove in, we headed for a line of cars I didn't really recognize and as we approached closer, another bunch of my friend's was hiding behind a car and giggling, smiling, and thinking "dude we just tricked Relgin, real good". When I saw them I was really trying to process it fast to what just happened. My mind was still set on Muay Thai training.
So picture this, as I exit the car I'm the only person in short shorts, ankle brace and sweat shirt looking ready for physical activity or for a fight. Everyone was laughing and I finally came to my senses that I really needed this. I had my hands on my head, I couldn't believe it! I had so much fun that night. Although I doubled on the calories I was suppose to burn that night, I didn't really care. I'd rather spend my last couple of days with the people I love.
Thanks guys you've really started my year!
Until next time
Keep blogging or get into blogging
