Greetings,
Six days past and many things have changed, I'm adjusting to university and making progress with new friendships and of course the work load. Just recently I arrived back from the Bathurst Christian Students Camp "Getaway". Totally a new whole experience, the camp was although short but it ended with a good experience. But before I race into my weekend. My week at university was mind-blowing and eagerly excited to be a whole seven days away from home (plus another five days) so around two weeks I’ve been officially away from home. How great is that!, nah not totally I miss my family and friends. This week’s university was just like any other week but with the camp coming up that weekend sure made it feel different.
Now that is cleared out of my mind, I want to get stuck into my “Getaway” experience. To start off the weekend, a hour drive to Lithgow from Bathurst we arrived at the camp site “Warrama” (not too sure about the spelling, sorry) around 6:30pm being one of the first at the site with two new friends we disembarked and headed for our cabins. It was cosy but filled with bugs, but it was under way of pest control so we slept comfortable. 7ish we stuffed ourselves with dinner and headed in for the night games that were prepared. One particular game that got me interested to prepare and play again is “Assassin”. Where everyone’s name is placed in a hat and everyone picks up a name at random. And which person you retrieve you must “Assassin”. How to play is you must identify whose your victim and kill them (not literally), by saying “You’re dead” discreetly. No one else must hear it and be involved, everything is kept a secret. There’s more to it, but that’s a grasp of that game. Well I was murdered like 5 minutes into game. That’s a shame.
One of my many highlights was the study of “Freedom” further expressed in the bible. Long story short, our BCS leader taught to us be free from religion. You must be thinking where I am going with this, but truly we are to affiliated with what religion has stored for us. Its traditions, rules, guidelines, the law and the list continues on. Its like where is God in the picture? Are we blinded by what the world throws at us? It has taught me to be free and live within God, separating from what draws us away. Going to church is still good, reading the bible and praying are all properties to live within God. Is it necessary to do all the other things? God made it simple for us because we are like Israel. Slaves because we are sinners, which was our price set on our hands, so God sent his one and only son to pay that price for us to be free and live eternally. More is said, but I want to further look into it and adapt it to my life.
Ill leave that for now. My thoughts are still collaborating.
Till then
Keep blogging or get into blogging.
In Him, we live
Relgin.
