pick up another book...

Greetings,

Well at the moment i am at university on a computer screen melting away. Not entirely because today has been productive (just reading and notes), maybe because i can handle this level of stress. Stress levels are decreasing because the worst of it has passed but its still rising. Its nearly end of the first semester and this is the time of exams. One of the reasons why stress levels are on the rise.

This was what i would have imagined myself to be in:

Today seems alright because i've just realized how this environment i now stand on is very supportive in many ways, from studying to academic essay writing. There's just a place for everything.

This semester i thought i would be dreading university alone and be swimming in the deep end without learning how to tread water. Bless it be that i didn't drown. This semester has been like an introduction to everything and now able to further improve on my weaknesses and play on my strengths. Learning another part of what you are capable of really keeps you motivated.

Interesting enough; i finally completed a book titled "A man after God's own heart" by Jim George that was given by a dear and close friend back in Sydney. Receiving this wonderful gift last December, today was the day when i finally completed reading it, now it gives you a picture of how long it takes me to read a book. I am also in the midst of finishing the devotions in between chapters. But i finished reading it, so that counts.

Reading the last chapter had shown many ways of "pursuing the purpose of God" and one component i have been in great deal of is "Being a servant" as according to the subtitle on my blog title. And also ways of interpreting the bible, like how to understand and pick out certain ways, which really what i needed because reading the bible becomes such trouble when your terrible with english. It was much helpful.

It was a such a good book, its helped me realize many things about myself and ways to improve further with your own environment. Like really comparing university and my relationship with God are similarly the same. How? they both involved support and direction. And taking this as my motivation really gets me of my butt and keep working hard.

Well i recommend this book to any man (sorry its a manly book girlie's, but you are free to read it too) Christian or non-Christian its worth reading. It may cater only for man that still studies but its good knowing the fundamentals.

Statistics say only five percentage of men read books like what Jim George writes. I say come on boys! lets read more! although i was once like you, but you become "hungry" for reading later on.

Its time to pick up another new book.

until next time
keep blogging or get into blogging
in Him, we live

relgin.
keep smiling =(

I admire any person who reads books. Personally, I don't have the mental capacity to absorb everything I read within one book. I usually just end up forgetting what I read 2 or so pages prior.
