right choices or write decisions...

Greetings,

I now take a subject that is based on Law and Ethics. And I'm starting to take interest in this subject. Its tough but the interest out weighs the feeling that its difficult or challenging. Say from a health care worker's perspective, you work in a small emergency department that undertakes a specific rule about "only treating white people" if you did your charged and left with a heavy fine. A black man walks in with severe stab wounds along his chest. What do you do? Treat? or Face the consequence? Alright this might be an extreme and tricky situation but the question arises again "What do you do?"

Typically and most obviously our instinct or first reaction would be to try save and give treatment to the black man. Add this to the equation, say if you face the consequence and now you have no money to feed or support your family. Well say it was three months of groceries, it might seem like a small sacrifice but is it worth saving the black man over your family? Ill leave it at that. I don't want to sound discriminate or unfair but these situations will pop up and What will you do?

See how interesting and vital of learning about how our choices mend our lives. A bonus character to this subject is the lecturer, she knows how to engage and interact with these situations and imply it into the lesson. Its quite intriguing. I have a friday tutorial for this subject that is compulsory to attend and so i did. Being in that class I was able to express and critically think about the choices I will have to make when I'm on road or off.

Side the fact that paramedics are not robots working twenty-four seven. Our lecturer she's an atheist and seems to be proud of it but of course she respects all other religions that are in twined. I abruptly asked a question about 'persuasion' and how if it is ethically right to persuade someone to make a choice. Example like persuading someone to donate their organs just before they are going to die (months away), in order save another three lives (days away from death) that are perfect matches for this particular persons organs. She really said 'no' because at all costs your just thinking about 'yourself'. Your own decision for another person. The decision you think should take place in that matter.

I thought real deep about that and thought about my devotion to evangelism. Is evangelism another type of persuasion? You know to try tell people hey be Christian devote your life to God, is it a gimmick? I dare say not!. But that just answers it, you know. Its not my way of thinking, it's God's own decision to tell his family, spread the news about me to your brothers and sisters that do not know me well. I believe with whole my heart that God truly takes action or part of our decisions in life. My decision to evangelize to the many non-Christians and tell them that God told me to say "He loves you".

So it eliminates the fact that evangelism is persuasion. God works through us, we don't work through ourselves but through him. Were living sacrifices and we owe it up to him. Alright I may been a little preachy just then but its my heart working for God. My decision!

Until next time
