I was bored this weekend and relaxed too much that the laziness levels are really on the move. I know I should be doing some work on my Ethics assessment but I have time to cram. Well I also should be revising tomorrow lectures but I don't think that is going to happen tonight. I've been really worked up lately with this whole concept of "Relaxation". Not good James, not good.
Well I did do something in the weekend. Stayed home, slept, eat, hydrate, shower and watch countless videos. Can you imagine how many movies or clips you can fit in a day. A little soulless might i add? Well for some reason I enjoy it. I'm an indoor person. Outdoors scare me, no that was a joke. But I really consider myself a indoor person. I could stay home all day, but for sure I would like to smell the fresh air and seek a sociable life. Its only human
Over this wasted weekend I've been quite intrigued by this film called "Chocolate" or "Chocolat" whichever, a Thai movie about an autistic young lady (Jeeja Yanin) masters a variety of martial arts like Muay Thai, Kung Fu and etcetera just by watching the films over again countlessly. The plot is about her kicking other dudes and smashing them because she's a girl (In other word's I have no idea). Reviews say most stunts are done by her (which is amazing) and that she's the girl version of Tony Jaa. If your a Tony Jaa fan who might know what I mean. Well I haven't seen it yet but I've just seen teasers and the trailer which I say; Its a must see.

Furthermore with this obsession of Chocolate, I've been very concerned about the commotion with the New South Wales Ambulance Service. I've heard occasionally at times that ambo's (Ambulance officers) were on strike. I wondered for what reason? I heard they were on strike because they refused charging patients to pay for transportation to an emergency department. I even took some time to search up on any articles or news reports. And quite frankly it is true heres a site that states this; http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/07/25/2314612.htm
I was a little ruffled and unsure because I knew the Ambulance service is already having money problems (in terms of wages) But I sought out the truth and understood the purpose of their expedition. As per each time an ambulance comes by to help an eventful accident, a type of consent must be approved by the causality. So why should an unconscious patient have to pay a fee without his consultation? Alright obviously it was crucial for that patient to be transported to the hospital but the purpose of an ambulance officer is to make them feel more comfortable from their original state (not completely heal them miraculously). Not hit them with a heavy fee (which does increase the un-comfortability of the patient) because all we did is take them to the hospital or hit them with some morphine. So go for gold ambos!
So with this at hand, Ambulance officers are really showing true integrity and passion with their field of work. I say I can't wait to be all part of it even if its going turn out bad or good. Free rides for everyone. That is if its necessary of course! No joy rides lets be responsible.
Until next time

hey bindi! ok getting a social conscience is good, I agree why put more pressure on an already burdened profession, in addition, policy-makers and law-makers need to know that being a paramedic is a VOCATION.! luvlotz, m
