the movies have done it all...

Greetings,

When I write up entries it's usually about what I did in the past, and mostly likely this blog is going to be about my past. Now I want to try blogging about a thought I had while I was on the road back to Sydney. The trip was a two hour trip and I didn't think about it much but I think it's worth blogging about.

I thought about how the movies have seemed "to have done it all" if I can put that in a more of a proper sentence I would. But what I mean is, how a movie can put an universal idea into a production thus claiming the idea. If you still don't understand what I mean, sometimes I don't. Say, you really want to say something really nice to your future girl/boyfriend and recently you saw nice chick flick or love story. One of the scenes contains the exact words that you want to tell that special someone. Therefore it would seem cheesy or insincere to say it to them.

Like it wouldn't be from your heart but that's just one example.

You wanna fly? Done in the movies
You wanna create the best invention? Done in the movies
You wanna have the last say? It's been done in the movies
You wanna curve bullets? Done

Well I'm probably exaggerating a little bit, maybe a whole lot. The movies have not done it all, they haven't taken the full idea of God. Which I think they should because it would be the most awesome and best film of the world. Alright I could be wrong, the Passion of the Christ is a good example. Many other films do have representations of Christ like a little hidden message for us to suss out, and I appreciate it. God is really humble and I guess it's mystery to us to why he isn't just showing off his ultimate powers.

God wants us to watch him, not for him to produce a movie of himself for us to watch.

Until next time
Keep blogging or get into blogging

in Him, we live

Relgin.
Keep smiling =(

it's me, your mum : well done, relg, this "take" about "movies having doen it all" would be an idea I would not have taken seriously but the way you explained it and connected it to the Person of God is excellent!
